Venue Shortcodes not working in latest EE4 update

I work with several websites using EE4 and I notice that the venue shortcodes no longer work in messages from sites that have updated to Version 4.6.20.p

Suggestions?

Hi, I tested the following shortcodes and they worked with the current release:

http://cl.ly/image/3D0p0e1q1I0Y

[VENUE_TITLE]
[VENUE_ADDRESS]
[VENUE_CITY]
[VENUE_STATE], [VENUE_ZIP]

What message type are you using and which shortcodes are not working?

Thanks

Lorenzo

Example: Registration Approved message …

Shortcode in template
Venue: [VENUE_TITLE] ([VENUE_CITY], [VENUE_STATE])

result in generated email
Venue: (, )

[TICKET_DESCRIPTION] doesn’t work, either.

Does something need to be reset, or something?

Hi,

Just to check, does the venue have the city and state filled out in the Physical Location box?

As with Lorenzo, I am seeing the venue details come through correctly.

Regarding the [TICKET_DESCRIPTION], have you made sure that that has been added to both the Primary Registrant and Registrant message templates? For example, if there is only one attendee, the Registrant template will be used, not the Primary Registrant one.

I guess I should add I am seeing this problem in preview and test messages. I have checked all of our event and they have venues assigned to them in the Venue Details section … is that what you mean?

Venue shortcodes are working fine in 3 other websites I manage that have not been upgraded to Version 4.6.20.p

[TICKET_DESCRIPTION] – I didn’t have that, but adding this to the registrant message didn’t help.

What we mean is can you check the venues entries in the venue editor and make sure that they have all of the information filled out.

Yes, all of the information is filled out in the venue editor.

I suspect it has something to do with the upgrade because I have messages from before the upgrade where the shortcode populated successfully.
Any suggestions?

Hi There,
FYI – I have managed to solve the problem in 2 sites by putting EE into Maintenance mode for a few minutes. When I returned it to Maintenance OFF, I found the venue shortcodes were working.
However, [TICKET_DESCRIPTION] is still not populating anything.

Alright thanks. Would you happen to be running any caching services or caching plugins on this site that is experiencing this issue?
