Hi everyone,

Event Espresso 4 is a great plugin indeed and we heavily rely on it. In the meantime we have some issues which we believe should be addressed soon:

• Single page checkout currently is a nightmare in terms of usability.
• Cannot send payment reminder to the registrars with status Pending Payment. We have to open each and everyone of them and send it manually. We should be able to send an email to the participants just by selecting their status, for example we should be able to send an email to all the participants with status “approved registrations”.
• Cannot translate “Proceed to” and “Finalize Registration” buttons. I have to manually edit the relevant files everytime you post an update. In fact there are too many strings that cannot be translated via the po file. At the same time in order to correctly process the inline translations I have to convert the files to UTF8 which somehow brakes the plugin.
• We change the event status to Sold Out and the visitors of the website are still able to register to this event. It should have been automatically locked.
• Clicking on the iCal link it does not download the event date and time information but it leads to an error (page link http://www.diadima.gr/yannis/?ee=download_ics_file&ics_id=10 ).

Regards,
Yannis

Hi Yannis,

Thank you for the feedback, without it we can not improve EE4 🙂

• Single page checkout currently is a nightmare in terms of usability.

Can you expand on this some? What is it, in your opinion, that makes SPCO a nightmare currently?

• Cannot send payment reminder to the registrars with status Pending Payment. We have to open each and everyone of them and send it manually. We should be able to send an email to the participants just by selecting their status, for example we should be able to send an email to all the participants with status “approved registrations”.

You can currently resend the current message template associated with the registration status for multiple attendees, although it is not obvious how you do this.

Open up the registration list for the event, then filter by status, in this example we’ll use ‘Pending Payment’ – http://take.ms/L6Z8B

Then tick the checkbox for the attendees you wish to send the message to (or all) – http://take.ms/h96pW

Then in the ‘Bulk options’ select ‘Set Registrations to Pending Payment and Noftiy’ – http://take.ms/lxldG

Then click Apply.

*To note, this actually sets the registration status then sends the message for the status set. Meaning you need to select all attendees with the same status as you don’t want to change (for example) Registration Approved messages to Pending payment because you mixed them up. We have a ticket to improve this in a future version.

• Cannot translate “Proceed to” and “Finalize Registration” buttons. I have to manually edit the relevant files everytime you post an update. In fact there are too many strings that cannot be translated via the po file.

We have a guide to changing those buttons available here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/customize-checkout-registration-button-text/

At the same time in order to correctly process the inline translations I have to convert the files to UTF8 which somehow brakes the plugin.

Can you explain the steps you are taking here please?

• We change the event status to Sold Out and the visitors of the website are still able to register to this event. It should have been automatically locked.

Although the ticket selector still shows, once you select your tickets and try to register you should be shown an error message stating the event is sold out.

• Clicking on the iCal link it does not download the event date and time information but it leads to an error (page link http://www.diadima.gr/yannis/?ee=download_ics_file&ics_id=10 ).

That link should actually be:

http://www.diadima.gr/?ee=download_ics_file&ics_id=10

How is WordPress set up?
Is WP installed within /yannis/?
Is this url – http://www.diadima.gr/yannis/ set within General Settings -> Site URL?

Hi Tony,

Thank you very much for your answer.

I would prefer to send you an email with the details because it would be easier for me to format content (screenshots, code, etc.) in Outlook. Is it OK with you? Would give me an email address?

Thanks,
Yannis
