Hi Marsha,

This might be a quick fix if you disable the reCaptcha feature in Event Espresso > Registration Forms > Settings. Some servers are not compatible with the reCapthca module that’s included with Event Espresso 4.

HI Josh,

An error has occurred:
First Name is a required value.

thanks marsha

Hi Marsha,

I followed your link to your registration checkout page and I see an error occurring when I inspect that page:

Unknown method: 09/30/2016 11:59 (http://cl.ly/3R272V311V23)

Try these steps for troubleshooting:

1) Open another browser tab and then go to your WP plugins page. Then deactivate all plugins and reactivate only Event Espresso

2) Open a link to the event page in one browser tab

3) From the browser tab that has the event in it, try registering

If the error no longer appears, then one of the other plugins on your site is triggering the earlier error.

4) Try reactivating a few plugins at a time through the other browser tab and then switch to the other tab and try a registration again.

5) Continue that process until the error appears again and you should be able to pinpoint where the error is coming from.

Hello,

I read through the prior post from October and there was a caching plugin that was being used so that would have triggered the first name issue if your Event Espresso payments were not excluded from the cache.

Did you migrate to a different web host since then and who is your current hosting provider?

I’m not seeing the server as nginx which has a built-in caching feature.
