While trying to set up payment methods I get the error below, how do I complete registrations using paypal? I am based in Ireland.

This payment method does not support the currency set on your site (EU) and so will not appear as a payment option to registrants. Please activate a different payment method or change your site’s country and associated currency.

Hi Paul,

Which PayPal payment method is this? PayPal Standard or Pro?

Have you change the currency settings within:

Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Countries to use EU in place of EUR?

Hi Tony, I am trying to use standard paypal, however I am unable to access full settings to check my country settings EU/EUR, I originally did so and set up Countries, but that tab is no longer there. (the only information in settings is one page showing licence information)
On signing on earlier today I was given and upgrade option which I activated, I think the Tabs in setting may have gone since then.

Can you go to Dashboard -> Plugins.

Find Event Espresso in the list there and tell me the version number you are using please.

Hmm, strange.

Do you know which version you updated from?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance.

Make sure Maintenance Mode is set to Off, then update the settings.

If the tabs do not appear after doing the above, please send temporary login details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

So that we can take a look into this.

Ok, I re-set Reset Event Espresso Capabilities and Reset Event Espresso Tables and all the TAbs returned, I then had to re input alll my site details.

My original problem remains, despite changing the Currenct code from EUR (the default in the setup) to EU as per your instruction I am still getting the error,

IMPORTANT This payment method does not support the currency set on your site (EU) and so will not appear as a payment option to registrants. Please activate a different payment method or change your site’s country and associated currency.

Apologies Paul, my original question wasn’t clear.

The gateways will not work with the currency setting set to ‘EU’ for euros, it needs to be ‘EUR’.

Your original post showed ‘EU’ in the error message:

This payment method does not support the currency set on your site (EU) and so will not appear as a payment option to registrants. Please activate a different payment method or change your site’s country and associated currency.

So I wanted to confirm if those settings had been changed in the Countries tab.

You want the ‘Country Currency Code’ to be EUR and not EU.

Be sure that Ireland is selected within the dropdown within Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Countries when making this change, this is how it should look – http://take.ms/6F9NQ

Also just to confirm, has the country been set to Ireland within Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Your Organization?

Hi Tony, just to confirm, that works now, thanks for your great support.

One more issue I notice, when saving my event to iCal, which is is from 17.00 t0 20.00 however when I save in outlook it saves as 18.00 to 21.00, any ideas?
