Using an Advanced Custom Field in the Calendar Excerpt

I have some custom fields added to events to help organize things for our users, and make messaging best for the ticket buyers as well.

Is there an easy way to change the field that the Calendar “excerpt” comes from? Right now, it is either the “content” field, or the “excerpt” field, if it is used.

My solution, if not:
1. Use the content field for the excerpt ONLY.
2. Use a custom field on my custom event page.
Is this the best solution?

Hi there,

There is a filter within the calendar that can be used to change the description, I have an example of doing this here:

You’d need to pull the value from your ACF field (which assume from the title is where you store your custom description) but the above should get you most of the way there.
