URGENT: Update to Version 4.9.71.p Just Hosed my Site

Hey Guys!

I ran the latest updates and my site crashed with it. I disabled it. Just wondering if you got other complaints. I also updated the Attendee Mover (no issue) and Promotions (no issue). If anything, can you please send me a link to where I can revert to the older version? Got sales coming up 😉

No other complaints so far.

I run several production sites running EE so I’ve just run through those and checked the update itself worked ok on those, which it did so we’ll need more details on what happened.

When you say it crashed the site, what actually happened? White screen?

If you check the servers error logs it should show you any errors thrown from Event Espresso when the update was done on the site, if you can post that we can investigate this further.

If anything, can you please send me a link to where I can revert to the older version? Got sales coming up

Whilst we can send you the previous version (in fact you can download it here) its not really a solution as you’ll be stuck on that version if there is a conflict.

The way forward is to find the error that was thrown so we can investigate the cause from there.

Hi,

The error message helps, thanks. Your site is running an old version of WordPress. If you can update your site to at least WordPress 4.7 you’ll avoid the fatal errors.

Please note that as a general guideline we try to keep backwards compatibility for two versions behind the current version of WordPress.
