Upgrading from EE3 to EE4 (2)

I recently purchased an EE4 site license. The documentation suggests making sure EE3 is up to date before upgrading. Since EE3 says ‘The key you have entered is invalid or expired’, I’ve tried changing my license key in the settings, but nothing happens. I think because its an EE4 key. So how do I upgrade EE3? Please don’t say buy another EE3 license.

Hi Diana,

If you are running a version prior to Event Espresso 3.1.36, you can download the lite version of Event Espresso 3 and run the update.

If you need further help, please log in to the forums with the same account that you purchased the EE4 license with and post to the premium forums. Thank you.

OK I think that worked. Where do I download EE4? I login, click the download EE4 button at the top but I don’t see a file to download. If I find it using the WordPress dashboard, it say version 6.01.07, but your website says the current version is 4.3.2

Hi Diana,

You need to be logged into the account your purchased with, the above account has no licence so you won’t be able to download.

The version number 6.01.07 does not relate to Event Espresso. Our current highest version is 4.3.2
