Upgrade to EE4 and Theme compatibility

Hi,

I’m looking to upgrade from EE 3.x to 4.x but I’m wondering if my theme will work with it. I’m using Simplethemes.com Synapse. https://www.simplethemes.com/wordpress-themes/theme/synapse

I’m not a designer and the description of EE 4 makes it seem like it will NOT work. https://eventespresso.com/features/customizable-event-designs/ Am I missing something or can EE 4 work with an external theme or do we have to use a theme in EE 4?

Hi Joseph, the examples in those screenshots are native WordPress themes. Event Espresso is compatible with themes that follow WordPress theme standards.

I’m not familiar with the theme that you linked to — however, you could duplicate your site onto a testing site and then test out the theme with Event Espresso 4:
