I am not seeing recent guidance on this topic. Can someone point me in the right direction to find the first steps, I am finding what to do after the installation, but not the installation.

Hi there,
EE4 Decaf is basically a limited version of EE4, so to switch from Decaf to Regular you need to go to Dashboard -> Plugins.
De-activate EE4 Decaf.
Download a version of Regular from your account page HERE (Make sure you download EE4 form the EE4 downloads section)
Then in Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin.
Select the .zip file you just downloaded, install and activate.
Now you have the latest version of Event Espresso 4 Regular installed.

I’m not sure I follow, all of the data is within your database so it can’t really go anywhere unless you remove it.
We do recommend creating regular database backups as standard practice, I run a backup right before I update any plugins just to be safe.
