Hello,

I have two sites using Event Espresso and the upcoming events widget. When I copied the events-espresso.css from the site with the display setting I want (Date, Event, Register Now button) the changes do not show up.

Is there another area or CSS file I should be changing/copying?

Or is there certain files I can copy from one site to the other that will make my upcoming events Widget look the same?

Hello,

Event Espresso comes with basic styling and then uses the styling that is provided by your theme. Are both sites running the same theme?

Yes, I am using the same theme on both sites. Do you have a recommendation what setting to check to make them the same? The file i copied was the widget.php and event_expresso_style.css in the template directory. Would the styling be controlled in the theme? if so what files would you recommend looking? In the correct site it shows Upcoming Classes, then the date and register button, however in the non-working site it lists the entire name of the site and date in a hyperlink.

If you could just point me into the area i would be very grateful! Thank you in advance.

Hi Brossess14,

The support license on your current account covers 1 site do you have multiple accounts? I checked the site linked to your account and can not find an ‘Upcoming Events’ section.

Can you link us to the page so we can view it please?

widget.php should go within wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/

Currently we have one account. We are in the process of developing the new site and plan to upgrade to the larger license as we are going to build more sites as well. I just wanted to get everything working.

The two sites are http://www.pmtrainingclass.com and http://www.lean6sigmatrainingclass.com/ The PMTrainingClass site it works fine however the Lean6Sigma is the one we can’t get the Widget to look correct. I did not copy the file to wp-content/uploads, do you think this will fix?

It depends where you originally copied the file to.

Event Espresso checks wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/ for any modified files that exist within event-espresso/templates/

If any are found it will load the files located in uploads and not the defaults, if not it loads the defaults.

Where did you originally copy widget.php to?

I copied the widget.php from the working site to the wp-conteont/plugins/espresso/templates folder.

I have not copied it to the uploads folder yet.

Working Site – http://www.pmtrainingclass.com/pmp-certification/houston-pmp-boot-camp/

Non-Working – http://www.lean6sigmatrainingclass.com/lean-6-sigma-white-belt/
(We want this one to look like the top)

I did some checking. When I am “logged into” the site, it shows up correctly now however when i log out it’s not showing up.
