Unable to update EE4 without renaming old event-espresso-core-reg folder

This occurs 100% of the time I try to update EE4 core. The workaround is to rename previous core folder, but I don’t think this is expected behavior.

Destination folder already exists. /var/www/vhosts/universityofutahhockey.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/

Hi AJ,

It looks like you’re trying to re-install EE when it’s already installed. Installing a new copy of Event Espresso will not work if there’s already a copy of Event Espresso installed. Instead, you can run the 1-click or run a manual update by following the guide here:
