Trying to trash a few tickets in an event and they will not move to trash!!

I have an event with multiple tickets depending on date. I changed the amount of the dollar surcharge under Price Modifiers, updated and it automatically created another ticket. I trashed the duplicate ticket, changed the amount of the dollar surcharge under Price Modifiers on the original ticket again, updated and not only did the duplicate ticket NOT get trashed another ticket was created.

Now I have 4 duplicates of the same ticket showing up on the ticket selector on the website. I understand I cannot trash a ticket that already has registrations. While I was trying to delete the duplicate tickets someone registered for one of the duplicate tickets so now I can’t trash that ticket.

Here is a screen shot: Duplicate Tickets

How can I trash the two duplicate tickets with no registrations? When I click on the trash icon it removes the ticket then I click update and after the page updates the ticket is still showing and was NOT trashed. Please help as now I have multiple tickets on the same website and it does not look good!

Hi,

Normally when you change a price of a ticket that already has registrations, the script will archive the original ticket, and create a new ticket. This way, the existing registrations will have the correct pricing. Your screenshots indicate something else is happening.

The quick way to remove the unwanted tickets is set their Sale End Date to yesterday’s date, update the event, then go to Event Espresso > Events > Templates and set “Show Expired Tickets?” to No.

Thanks Josh, yes that is what usually happens the ticket is archived but not in this case. I will try that and let you know if it works.

You can also check for a plugin/theme conflict with the Health Check plugin (or better yet, if you have a staging site where you can replicate the plugin, troubleshoot there).

There may be a plugin or theme script that’s causing a conflict with the ticket editor on that page.

It worked to change the Sale End Date and that worked!
