hi,
I’m having problems with EE4 translation. I’m trying to translate “Goes On Sale” in single event (can see here http://barnasantstickets.cat/eventos/prueba/) but i can’t. I add 2 different ways in my language file but doesen’t work:
first way:
msgid “Goes On Sale”
msgstr “Comprable el”
second way:
#: ../../../plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/modules/ticket_selector/templates/ticket_selector_chart.template.php:162
msgid “Goes On Sale”
msgstr “Comprable el”
I added this sentences with sublimetext in .po file, after i edit with poedit and save to .mo file and upload both files in wp-content/uploads/esperesso/languages directory.
I tried this ways and some of others but any of these works fine.

Hello Lorenzo,
I try it but when i edit with poedit and saves it gives an error and don’t save it. Also it is only an example, i have the same problem with other phrases.

Try getting an up to date copy of the language PO file from our GlotPress project:

I did not see an error when using Poedit.
If you still run into an error, then please share a copy of that file here so I can check on it for you and share more feedback.

Hi Lorenzo,
Ok i have downloaded the .po file from glotpress and now it works fine. Only one problem with phrase “personal information”. In .po file this exists:
#: event-espresso-core/core/helpers/EEH_Activation.helper.php:869
msgid “Personal Information”
msgstr “Información Personal”
But doesen’t translate

Hi there,
Is that ‘Personal Information’ for the name of a Question Group?
The only time the text will translate for a question group is if the translation is in place before activating EE. After that the string is saved to the database and does not dynamically translate using the PO/MO files.
To change that you can go to Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Question Groups.
Click on the ‘Personal Infomration’ question group and alter the ‘Group Name’ – http://take.ms/epa5L
