Hi, I’ve been translating Event Espresso 4 to Dutch and every english string I find, I look up, translate and regenerate the .mo and .po files. However, after I upload them, not all translations show up. Is there a step I’m missing? |
Hi JijOnline, What is the file name of the .po file and which directory are you uploading it to? |
Hey! |
Rename the files to event_espresso-nl_NL.mo (and .po) Then upload them to wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/ Do the translations then work? |
.. magic! Thanks! I was so puzzled! |
No problem. The file name can be either event_espresso-{locale}.po or event-espresso-4-{locale}.po This directory /wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/ is an update safe location to keep your translations. The other locations /plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/languages/ Would also have worked (with the correct filename), but will be lost on each update of Event Espresso so is not the best place to add the files. |

Hey, I still have problems. I translated heaps of more stuff, and the “Proceed to” is definitely translated now, I actually translated that last week. However, once I select a ticket on my event () and click “Registreer nu” the next step submit button still says “proceed to”. |

^^ Misformatted my second link: http://www.nieuworganiseren.nu/events/werkplaats-nieuw-organiseren-hengelo/ |
oh. That was an actual bug. |
Hi there, It turns out that the newer versions have ‘Proceed to %s’ instead of ‘Proceed to’. The updated .pot file on the GlotPress site will have all the latest strings. |
