Track agents?

Hello,
We want to sell tickets for our events (actually sea escursions) on our site with Event Espresso. We also have some agents who sell tickets using our site.
We need to know, in these cases, who sold what: is there a way to track the agents’ sales or at least have a field (i.e.: agent’s code) that the agent can fill during the purchase so that we can find his/her code under “Registrations” (in Event Espresso admin panel)?

Thank you

Hello,

You’ll be able to create a custom registration field to capture that information and then add it to a registration form.

That field can be forward facing for attendees to select, or “admin-only” so that it can only be selected in the registration record.

Thank you both for the quick answers.
I tried to use the “admin-only” option but the field is not shown in frontend even if I am logged in the admin panel. I don’t want to allow agents access to the admin panel; is it possible to have only frontend users and make the field visible to them only? (I’m also new to WordPress..).

Hello,

Admin-only fields are visible in the WP dashboard. They won’t be visible in the front-end registration page.

I see. Do you think it could be possible capture the logged in agent (logged with the WP “Front-End Only Users plugin”) using your “Custom Files Add-on”?

Hello,

I’m not familiar with that plugin so unfortunately I do not have any feedback on it.

I can confirm that questions that are set to admin-only will not be available on the front-end of a site even if you are using an administrator account. Also, the custom files add-on is for Event Espresso 3 and my feedback on on version 4.

You might look into using the AffiliateWP plugin along with the Event Espresso-AffiliateWP integration add-on to track the agents’ sales.
