I can’t save an event because it keeps going to event start date dec 31 1969. When I change it and then try to save it, the screen goes blank.

Ive deleted everything and reinstalled all ee and it still does it help!

Hi Jean,
Could you please try the following:
1) Login to your WordPress admin and go to Settings –> General. Then ensure that a timezone is set (select a city that is in the same timezone as you). Then also check that you have a valid date format and time format selected.

2) Next go to Plugins and temporarily disable all plugins. Then enable only Event Espresso and try creating a new event.
If your event works as expected, then go ahead and reactivate all of your remaining plugins.
Let me know if these steps help with this date issue.

Hi – I did the above and it worked for 1 event and now when I add another, it does it again and I have to do it each time. What can I do to make it permanently not to go to 1969?

It should not be changing back to that date. What other plugins are you running on your site?
