I asked this question previously but was out of town and wasn’t able to followup
https://eventespresso.com/topic/different-registration-types-order-of-events-on-main-page/
We have a page on WordPress for our Events that we hold twice a year. For each event we have different tickets based on whether or not the person is a member, a sponsor, or a non-member. We would like to have the member ticket listed first, followed by the non-member, followed by the sponsor. Right now, I create each ticket as an event since you have to log into our system to gain the member rate. I would love to be able to stream line this and appreciate any help.
Thanks!

Hi there,

You’ll have to forgive me here but I’m getting on a little so I need to walk through to understand.

What is the issue? You want to be able to specify the order of the tickets shown on the ticket selector and some tickets require the user to be logged in?

You’re using 5.0.11, so are you using the advanced editor or legacy?
https://eventespresso.com/wiki/new-advanced-event-editor/

You can specify the capability required on a user account to purchase a ticket a ticket (log out users have no capabilities) which sound like what you are looking for hear. But before I start working through solutions I want to make sure I understand the problem so I’m not just leading you down the wrong path an causing confusion.

Yes, we want to specify the order of the tickets and some tickets require the user to be logged in – so right now I’ve been creating a different event for each user type. I’m guessing the legacy since that is what I am most familiar with.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

This is how you do it in Advance Editor, you can fix the order by going to your EE Dashboard -> Events -> then on the ticket section, you will be able to find this.

For legacy editor, go to ticket section and hold and drag this icon

The information was helpful. In retrospect I’ve been making things much more difficult than they need to be.
The question is that one of the ticket types is for members who need to log in to receive a discounted ticket price to our conference. The other two ticket types do not have to be logged in. Previously, I have created 3 different main events with details etc and made one where you needed to log in. Can I create one main event in the system and, using the duplicate event option, create the event that requires log in? Is there a tutorial on this?
Thanks!

You can open the event you want to duplicate, then click the duplicate button below the title, it will reload for a while, then you can see the require login on the right side bar.

Thanks
