Ticket Notice not sent EE4

Hi im facing issues with EE4 not sending a ticket notice.
this is the sequence of the issue

1. User Registers
2. Makes failed transaction (paypal) – multiple times (one payment pending email sent)
3. Transaction successful – (Approval email is sent after 24 hours only – why is this so)
4. Ticket Notice not sent to email

How do i check if all registrations have received their ticket notice. i only caught on to this as the user made a complaint. I have no clue if it has happned to any other people.

Hi there,

If the user registers and makes a successful payment without failing first does the ticket notice send then?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates.

Do you see the ticket notice listed there? (Note there may be more than one page of templates)

3. Transaction successful – (Approval email is sent after 24 hours only – why is this so)

The emails use WP_CRON to send batches of emails, this is set to every 3 mins, however the page needs to load (ie a visitor needs to view your site) in order to trigger wp_cron to run and check for any events (sending the messages).

So the Approved email should send any time after 3 min from when the registration has been complete if the a user views your site.

The reason for this is to help with sites sending out multiple registrations emails at once, the batch system breaks them down and allows for registrations to work quicker.

You can disable this is needed, but lets find out what is happening first.

Hi Tony,

it works fine if the payment goes through on its first time. this issue has affected only one transaction as of now. No clue if its a one off thing.

Hello,

The ticket notice email notification should still be triggered even if they pay through the pending payment email. That is because their registration is updated to a status of registration approved.

In your recent example, did the registrant/attendee pay via PayPal when clicking through the pending payment email or did they use another payment option (if available)?
