The multi day events stopped showing on my website side bar. Example: an event that runs from March 18 – March 19 only shows that the event is on March 18 on the side bar now. It used to show the full dates, it just stopped working

Had anyone on your time made any customizations to the upcoming events widget so that it would display the start and end date there?

Hi Mike,
I took a look at the upcoming events widget on our testing site for Event Espresso 3 and it also shows the start dates.
Were you perhaps using a customized widget (different than the default upcoming events widget) before?

Josh – nothing was changed or customized on the upcoming events widget
Lorenzo – the widget I am using is the “Event Espresso upcoming events widget”.
As I said before the only thing I changed was I installed the multi-event-registration add on.

Josh – how and where do I make a customization so the widget displays the start and end date? That customization seems to have gone away. I assume that it used to be there since the widget did used to show the start and end date. Please tell me how I can get it back.

Hi Mike,
The widget by default does not include that information and there isn’t a setting in the WP dashboard to enable that specific display.
We are trying to determine if that was something that your web developer did for you.

Lorenzo – I believe it was set up by the original web developer. Please tell me how to get the start and end date to show on the widget. It looks like when I installed the multi-registrastion add on it deleted the customization.

Hi Mike,
Installing the Multi Event Registration add-on would not affect the widget. However, if the original web developer edited the core file for the widget in the Event Espresso plugin, an version update would delete the customization.
