Thank-you page details not being displayed

Hello,

I’m setting up EE to work with my current theme and have come across an issue that I have no idea how to resolve.

System details:
– WordPress 3.8.1
– EE 4.1.8.reg
– New installation, just starting to set things up.

When registering an attendee, the transaction goes through in the system, I can see the data on the admin page and also receive the confirmation email. However, the Thank You page does not display the transaction summary and instead seems to be using the Blog template page (See here: http://q-on.bi/thank-you/?e_reg_url_link=1-d72982611e8d8fc5339fc217043e4556). It shows “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.”

If you’d like to test it yourself, please register with a Free ticket here: http://q-on.bi/events/qlikview-set-analysis-class/

If I change the blog template from the Theme Options, the Thank you page is also affected.

Any guidance on how to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
Miguel

Hi Miguel,

Have any changes been made to the Critical pages (WP-admin –> General Settings –> Critical Pages)?

They should all have a status of ok along with shortcode ok

Hi Lorenzo, thanks for the quick response.

Nothing has been changed on the Critical Pages panel. Just checked and all four pages have the OK status for both the Page and Shortcut.

What other things must I check to ensure functionality?

Just for closure, I found a (rather odd) solution…

What I noticed is that no matter what I did (I tried to create a specific template for displaying this page) it always picked up the index.php template.

This seems to be an issue with wordpress, as I found other threads of people experiencing the same issue (eg: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/template-page-slug-not-working)

I just had to delete the auto-generated thank you page and create it again with the corresponding shortcode. Nothing was actually changed, all page values remained the same, but now the “Default” page template is picking up the appropriate code.

Kind regards
Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for sharing how you fixed the issue. I just went through those steps on a test site and the only change I see is that the post id changed.
