After registering, the thank you page displays the message below. The page is there and the shortcode is verified in the critical pages settings. How can I get it to work or turn it off? Very confusing to clients to see the message after signing up.

We’re sorry…

This is a system page for displaying transaction information after a purchase.
You are most likely seeing this notice because you have navigated to this page
through some means other than completing a transaction.
Sorry for the disappointment, but you will most likely find nothing of interest here.

Hi Kevin,

That page should show information about the most recent registration that has been completed.

Who is your web host and are you using any caching services (e.g. WP super cache, W3 total cache)?

Hi Lorenzo, DigitalOcean Hosting, no caching plugins. Also disabled all plugins and same issue. Happens every time after registering. No duplicate slugs or shortcodes.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

It sounds like something is stripping the ?e_reg_url_link part of the URL from the request. When you finish the registration, does the browser’s URL bar look like this?

http://siteurl.com/thank-you/?e_reg_url_link=1-d306e6266fb7669748f241f24b14758c

or like this:

http://siteurl.com/thank-you/

Hi Josh,

It looks like the first version above.

Thanks,
Kevin

What stack are you using on Digital Ocean?

Although the query string may be visible on the redirect, the values may not actually being passed to the functions.

Running nginx with php7. It may be a php issue.

Can you try temporarily setting WordPress to use the standard default permalinks? It may also help to check the .htaccess file for any rules that are not added by WordPress core.

Tried all of the above, and finally just deleted and re-installed the plugin. All good now. Thanks for the help guys.
