tax is being charged on 100% discount promo code purchase

We have been giving out discount codes to some people who are registering for an event, but they are still being charged tax (so it isn’t actually free). Is there a setting I am missing to change this?

Yes, there’s a setting in Event Espresso > Promotions > Settings. It’s labeled Promotions Affect Taxes. You can set that to Yes, and they will not be changed taxes with the 100% promotion.
