Hi,
We export our attendees data to our race software, which is very specific about the date format – needs to be dd/mm/yyyy. We gave these parameters to our ex-developer but it was not implemented.
We need to be able to mask the entry field so that dates can only be entered in this format.
I also need to know how to unlock system questions so that I can edit them, or remove this DoB question from the system group and replace with the newly formatted one.

Hello Angus,
Do attendees enter the date manually or did your developer add some kind of date picker to the registration forms?
In your WordPress admin > Event Espresso > Question Groups, select the question group you would like to edit, then deselect the DoB question and select the alternative question.

We asked for a date picker, but it never materialised, and only managed to give us a text box – one reason why it’s ex-developer!
If there’s a way to add a date picker that’d be great – website is http://supersportsevents.me
Since it’s system and one of key needs I am wary about playing with this kind of thing!

Hi Angus, a datepicker question is not available in Event Espresso 3. This is why we asked how that was done. If this is critical to your project, then please check with an Event Espresso professional here:

A date picker is not essential, but some way of masking/control the format of the date is, since it saves us some much time reformatting, we get UK & US formats, all numeric and alpha-numeric formats.
All we need is to ensure that the date is input as dd/mm/yyyy. We have specified this in the question, but it’s often ignored.

Currently it only offers a text field for input.

Hi Angus,
EE3 simply doesn’t support a datepicker option, EE4 does.
If you need it then you will need a developer to assist you in implementing it.

Thanks, I think! I read that post and understood the concept but nothing else!
I’m not concerned about something as flash as date-picker – is there not a way to create a mask for the text field so that it only accepts inputs in a certain format, i.e. dd/mm/yyyy? I was able to do this in JotForm.
