Surcharge not showing on Verify Registration or on final payment

Hi Guys

I have added a 10% GST surcharge in the General Settings. When showing the Event Registration page this shows up (see http://www.sbcnorthwestmetro.com.au/event-registration and check the test event) – However when I register for the event, the Verify Registration does not show the GST surcharge. If I go through and make payment the GST surcharge is not charged, (goes through at the basic price).

Can you let me know how to include the Surcharge and description in the Verify Registration and final payment?

Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,

Were those events created before the GST value was added within General Settings?

If you edit your test event and look at the Surcharge value is there a value within that field?

Hi Tony… Yes, there is a surcharge value in the Surcharge field of the test event.

I added the surcharge as GST in the general settings. But was sure to add the new event after making that change. So it is showing in the new event. It’s also showing on the registration page… however it is not showing on the verify registration page nor on the final payment page, (payment goes through without GST).

Please see the following event as an example.
http://www.sbcnorthwestmetro.com.au/event-registration?ee=16

You can see GST applied on the first page, however if you then go on to confirm/verify registration it does not show GST.

Thanks Tony.

Hi, that event has expired. Could you create a similar test event that we can take a look at?

Sorry Lorenzo. It’s a live site and the admin person deactivated the test event as people were registering on it… I have moved it forward to December so it should be OK now.. Try it again

Hi there Jason,

I think I know what the issue is. Is the GST rate for Australia 10%?

If so, could you enter a value of 10 in the event editor like so:

Well done Lorenzo… You nailed it!

That’s strange. I was entering a value of 0.10 into the field, but that came through as 10% in the confirmation page so I didnt question it. When I enter 10 into the surcharge field the confirmation page shows 10.00%… So when the % is too low it just removes the GST field.

Interesting.
But Sorted 🙂

Thanks mate – much appreciated.
