Support Licence showing as invalid

I am seeing this message inside of our WordPress site
An automatic update for Event Espresso is available but your Support License Key is invalid. Either you have entered the wrong key on the Event Espresso General Settings page (EE3+ users) or Your Organization Settings page (EE4+ users) OR you no longer have access to the updates for this plugin. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.

However when I log into the event espresso site the same licence key is there showing as valid and active and with a lovely green tick that I would think means it is working…

Can anyone help me figure out why I am seeing the error message?

I am receiving the same message. Started today. I renewed my License in March and I have verified the key is correct.

There are two possibilities:

1) You have an Event Espresso 4 license but are using Event Espresso 3 or have some Event Espresso 3 add-ons activated on your site. You can go to your account page and request to switch to an EE3 license if that’s what’s happening. There’s a Switch Your License option on your account page.

2) There’s a localhost/ site that also has your license key set. If you have a dev site set up with the same license key, you can remove the key from that site then request a key reset from your account page.

It does look like the EE#/EE4 issue is the one.

Just wondering – are we better to upgrade on the site to EE4 or to change the licence to EE3 – does it make a difference?

We are looking for integration with Infusionsoft so want to make sure that we have it right…

It depends on what kind if integration you are looking for with InfusionSoft.

Note that EE4 Infusionsoft Add-on does not support processing payments through Infusionsoft, so if that is something you require you will need to use EE3 and use the EE3 Infusionsoft integration.

With EE4 you can still use EE4 + Infusionsoft + another payment gateway with EE4 and your payments will be synced, but you can not use the payment methods from within IS.
