Hi,

1. Support Key
When I enter the Support key and press update, I receive the following message:
“There is an automatic update for Event Espresso available but your Site License Key is invalid”. It seems similar to other issues I’ve come across in this forum.

2. Event Date
When we save the dates for an event, it seems to index the dates to the next day and set the time at 5am. Can you please advise.

Status:
WordPress version 3.9
Event Espresso Current Version of Software 4.2.2
No Add-Ons
New Installation

Event in question: http://mosaicbaptist.org.au/events/24-hour-prayer-vigil/

Thanks

Chris

Hi Phil,

I have reset your license key, please go to Event Espresso -> General Settings.

Remove the license key (cut), update the settings, replace the license key (paste) and then update the settings once more.

Regarding the event date changing, the latest version of Event Espresso (currently 4.2.3) has a fix for this so once you update that should be resolved.

G’day Tony,
We have 4.2.3 version, and I just entered dates again – same issue (sorry!)
I have an event that starts on Friday 2 April at 7pm. I have to enter, using the funky drop down calendar and time bar, 9am for it to publicly display 7pm
It shows me on the plugin, before updating, that it is 9am, but after update, it will show in the date/time bar 7pm.

Trust that is understood!!

many thanks
Phil

Hi Phil,

Sound like a timezone issue.

If you go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General. Take a look within there and tell me what that sites Timezone is set to please. Does it match your timezone?

G’day Tony,

On our website settings it is set to “Sydney” time (Australia)

There is a 10 hour difference between the time I input and the time that is then displayed, and each time I update thereafter, a 10 hour difference!

Tony, Chris just suggested I change our WP setting to UTC+10, rather than “Sydney”, and it seems to have worked.
Hope that helps!

Phil

Hi Phil,

That might be another plugin conflicting. There’s a PHP function called date_default_timezone_set(), and if there’s a plugin installed on the site that’s using this function, it may affect Event Espresso’s timestamps.
