We just installed EE4 version 4.4.3p today and it was installed successfully, however now anytime I click on anything Event Espresso to try and begin setup… I get a blank page with the following error.

The incoming statuses argument must be an array with keys as the $status_id and values as the $status_code EEM_Status – localized_status – 219

We are running WP 4.0

Hi Jennifer,

Was Event Espresso installed through WordPress admin –> Plugins — Add New?

Could you try deactivating all plugins and reactivating Event Espresso and re-testing?

If the issue goes away, then reactivate a few plugins at a time until you determine the source of the conflict.

Hi Lorenzo,

Yes, I did install through WordPress admin –> Plugins — Add New.

I deactivated all of our plugins and when I clicked “Activate” on Event Espresso to try and re-activate and received the same blank page with the same error.

Hi Jennifer,

What version of WordPress are you running?

Can you try deleting Event Espresso, re-downloading it (in case of a corrupt file) and reinstalling please?

Hi Dean,

We are running WP 4.0. I just deleted the plugin, deleted the file from my computer, re-downloaded and then uploaded to WP again. Now I get the error when I click activate.

The incoming statuses argument must be an array with keys as the $status_id and values as the $status_code EEM_Status – localized_status – 219

I just figured out the issue. We purchased a license for EE3 apparently, thus I am trying to install the wrong product.

Sorry for the confusion and thank you for your responses!

Hi Jennifer,

We are currently providing EE3 licence holders with access to EE4 as well, so you can install either, it really depends on your needs: https://eventespresso.com/differences-ee4-ee3/

As we have not seen the error you encountered before, do you know what sort of server your website is hosted on: is it Apache or IIS (Windows)?

Hi Dean,

Interesting. Ok, well EE3 just installed successfully, so it definitely seems to be a problem exclusive to the EE$ download. I do not know what server we are running on, but will find out and reply ASAP for you.

Hi there,

Could you please create a temporary WordPress admin login so we can take a closer look at this issue?

Please share that temporary login through the secure link below:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

To prevent delays in troubleshooting, be sure to double check your information on the form before submitting.

The submit button for the form appears at the end of the form.

Again, please ensure that the temporary login works.

Thank you.

Lorenzo

I was going to try to just use EE3 instead, but now I am getting a database error when I try to create an event on that version.

I created your temp login and submitted it to you via your form. Please keep me informed, we are trying to get this up and running as soon as possible.

Thanks!

Hi Jennifer,

Can you re-send and include FTP credentials? My guess on this is it’s a bad install and with FTP access we can try a re-install.

Submitted FTP info. Sorry for delay. This is a volunteer organization, so it can be hard to wrangle the right people to get access set up.

We are eager to get this registration set up for our upcoming conference.

Thank you!

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for sending this. I was able to investigate and I think I found what’s wrong. The database user permissions are not allowing WordPress to create any new tables. It’s able to write to the existing tables, but not create new tables. This issue will occur with any new WordPress plugin you may try to install.

I’m afraid this is something that will need to be changed by the server administrator, at least temporarily in order to install Event Espresso. What they will need to do is make sure that the database user has the permission to create new database tables at least for the time being while the Event Espresso is first installed and each time an update is run. This is a note in the WordPress codex that explains this further:

Note: Some plugins, themes and major WordPress updates might require to make database structural changes, such as add new tables or change the schema. In such case, before installing the plugin or updating a software, you will need to temporarily allow the database user the required privileges.

http://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress#Restricting_Database_User_Privileges

Hopefully you can get in contact with the server admin and they’ll be able to make this adjustment soon.

Thank you, I really appreciate your quick response! I have contacted the DB person and we’ll see if that resolves it. Thank you for looking into this.
