Is it possible to subscribe users to a MailChimp listed based on a response to a question on the event registration form?

Hi,
Currently the MailChimp Add-on does not support conditional subscriptions, either all of the attendees that register will be subscribed or none (if not selecting a list)
I can add this as a feature request although I can not guarantee this will be included.
Can I ask, would this be a custom question or something like and standard opt in question, something like a check-box ‘I would like to sign up to your newsletter’ etc?

Yes we’d like registrants to have the option to subscribe to a newsletter. Or additionally if we could add them to a Mailchimp list and then also add them to a group based on another response that would be great.

Currently the registrants are offered the option, when they sign up they will receive an opt-in email from MailChimp (if you do not skip Double opt-in) in which they can chose to subscribe, although I understand the reasoning for this to be within the form.
Or additionally if we could add them to a Mailchimp list and then also add them to a group based on another response that would be great.
Currently I don’t think that is easily achieved with the current setup of EE4 MailChimp, although I’ll certainly add it to the feature request.
