I got the same issue.

Fatal error: Call to a member function _add_relation_to() on a non-object in /home/skymningen/warcon.se/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/modules/single_page_checkout/EED_Single_Page_Checkout.module.php on line 557

Sorry, didn’t see all posts before writing.
Changing the date format solved my problem.
