I have been reading other posts about using a Cache and Event Espresso not working properly. We have been informed that we need a Cache for everything to work properly. The Cache’s we use only work for about 3-5 days and then we have to reboot our server. it’s getting frustrating. Any recommendations? We are using version 4.2.4, our site is athleteinyou.com, the current Cache is WP Fastest Cache (others have failed too) and we currently have it inactive on the site to see if we can get away with no cache, but did encounter a problem without a cache which was what directed us to use a cache. Hopefully this all makes sense. |
Hi Skytip,
That is not normal. What happens when the cache ‘fails’? |

Our website doesn’t load, or times out. Then we receive a database error which forces us to reboot the server. We originally had our MySQL formatted/enhanced but still kept encountering the problem. |
Hi Skytip. It sounds like your server isn’t configured correctly. Caching can certainly help improve page times, especially if the site is serving a lot of content with a lot of page hits going on, but this is the first I’ve heard of it being required in order to function properly. I can recommend finding someone who has experience with the type of server you’re running and have them check to make sure it’s configured correctly. |
