Hi,
since the last Update, all sites are partly in englisch. Before the Update, all pages were in german. All settings are set to Germany (Currency, Place etc). So how can we fix the Bug? Some Buttons in the Backend are still german…
Please help us to fix the problem

Hi there,

Which version number of Event Espresso are you running?

Are you loading your own PO/MO files for translations or just using the default EE translations?

Version 4.10.46.p
We only use the default EE translation.

Hmm the only update between .45 and .46 was a ‘type’ fix within the EE_Attendee.class.php file, which can’t change anything with languages.

I assume the site language is set to German in general settings?

Are you comfortable with FTP/File Manager?

http://www.herner-sport-taucher.de all in German.
Yes I’m comfortable with FTP/File Manager.

Strange, if I set one of my test sites to Deutsch the lagnuage switches correctly and I can’t see missing translations:

https://monosnap.com/file/oCW3ucoCE1FRFIS4U9anNB3WqEe6im

It could be that your site couldn’t download the translation file.

Check within /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/languages/

What files do you see there?

only this file is in this directory:
event_espresso.pot

Ok, so that’s why.

Go here: https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/de/event-espresso-de_de/

At the bottom of the page, select .mo in the dropdown and then click export.

Or, direct link here: https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/de/event-espresso-de_de/export-translations/?format=mo

You should download a file called event-espresso-4-de_DE.mo

Place that file in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/

Does that fix it?

We downloadet the file “event-espresso-4-de_DE.mo” and copied it into the directory “/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/”. The language is till english. The settings for Country are still germany… 🙁

Can I take a look at this?

If so I’ll need both WP-Admin and FTP credentials which you can send over using this form:

Hey Tony,

sorry for my late response. I’ve talked to our chairman. He told me to make a meeting, with team viewer. So u can log into the server on my computer. This is the only way. May we fix the problem with download and install the latest version from the EE website
