Shows Sold Out – But Inventory remains

I am trying to add entries to an event manually, but EE is showing the event as Sold Out

I’ve added a ticket noted “Dummy” and made the “End Sale Date” last week, so that it does not show up in the shopping cart. I’ve done this before and in other events, and it normally works fine.

I have made a PDF with screenshots:
PDF Here

Basically – I need a way to add manual entries that does not appear open for sale on the website. We add 10 fake names “dummies” to each event, to create a buffer zone for any last minute changes / accidents … I might not be doing this the ideal way, but, it works.

We need to show the event at its max size (when people view the list of Registered Players) online – so I can’t just set inventory to 10 less than needed (that would be ideal)

Does this make sense? Can you help? You can see Event here: https://superbilliardsexpo.com/events/superseniors2023/

Thanks!

I should mention – I have tried clearing the cache, both a “hard reload” in Chrome and at the server level.

I’ve also tried resetting open inventory to an absurdly high number in the “Datetime” line, to no avail.

From my understanding, the “Datetime” line sets the total number in inventory. Then the cumulative amount in Tickets will react to that.

We also take entries by mail, which I enter manually. Thats the bottom line shown.

Also maybe worth mentioning – this other event is set up the same way, and I have no problem adding tickets as I need to.

Here are some screenshots of this event:

Hi there,

It looks like the PDF links have been stripped.

Can you either add those in another reply, or if preferred you can send them to support[at]eventespresso.com and I’ll take a look there.

I emailed them immediately after receiving your request.
Thought I would see an answer this morning, since I usually have to wait overnight due to time zone

Ok, so your event is sold out because the 1 active ticket on that event has a Qty value which matches the Sold value.

The admin ticket selector will show expired tickets and also allow you to register onto them as the admin if there are spaces on the event. Set the current sold-out ticket (if that’s the one you want to add tickets to) to have more spaces and the admin ticket selector will allow you to register.

If you want to prevent front-end users from purchasing those available tickets just set the ‘Display Ticket Selector’ option to No when you update the qty, add your registrations and then you can set that to Yes again if you want to show the sold out status on the front end again.

The datetime is the over limit of registrations, it’s a combination of all ticket sales but if you have say 200 spaces on a datetime and then set the only active ticket on the event to have a Qty of 20, one those 20 tickets are sold, you have sold all available tickets and are therefor, sold out.

The other event you linked to has spaces available on the ticket itself which is why it and the expired ticket show up within the admin ticket selector.
