Shortcode displaying on page for Events Grid View EE3

I just installed and activated the Events Grid view for EE3, but can’t get the shortcode to work. All I see on the page is the shortcode:
[EVENTS_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name=”grid” sort=”ASC” order_by=”start_date”]

You can see it here:
http://thousandbitesofbread.com/classes/

I am sure it is user error, but I just can’t figure out what I am missing here. Thanks for any advice!

I am running EE3 with the following add-ons all activated and up-to-date:

Event Espresso // Version 3.1.37.6.P
Event Espresso – Calendar // Version 2.2.7.p
Event Espresso – Custom Template Display // Version 1.1.p
Event Espresso – Social Media // Version 1.1.7.p
Event Espresso API Plugin // Version 2.1.4.P
Event Espresso Template – Grid View // Version 1.0
Event Espresso Template – Recurring Events Table w/ Dropdowns // Version 1.1.p

Hi Heidi,

The quotes appear to be reversed and I’m not entirely sure if that is just from styling.

Here is what I’m referring to:

Could you switch to text mode on the page editor and then delete the quotes and type them in again and then update the page by saving?

Thanks for the reply! I switched to text mode and typed them in again, but they wouldn’t switch to straight quotes. So I added a plugin that removes wptexturizer to remove the “smart” quotes from the whole site. I now have straight quotes, but I still see the shortcode. Anything else I can try??

Hi Heidi,

Please remove the S from EVENTS, the correct shortcode for this would be:

[EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name="grid" sort="ASC" order_by="start_date"]

Can you test this and confirm if it then works please?

Yes! Thank yo so much. That was it– I copied and pasted the shortcode, so it is incorrect here:

You’re most welcome, Heidi.

I’m sorry for the trouble caused by that type, I’ll get that page updated 🙂
