Hi, I have installed and setup all of the necessary items for the ticketing add-on. The one problem I’m having is figuring out where and how to install the Espresso services API on my server. I read the instructions carefully here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ticketing-add-on/#services but where it says “View Install Instructions” for the Services API, that link takes me nowhere.

Then after downloading the Espresso services API I noticed in the index.php file it says “WARNING!! Do not upload/install to your plugin directory. Please view the readm.txt for installation instructions.” However, there isn’t a readm.txt file included the zip that I downloaded.

How/where do I install the Services API on my server?

thanks

Hi,

It looks like the documentation is slightly out of date so I will look to update that, thanks for bringing it to our attention.

You do not need to install the Espresso Services add on, as the latest version of the ticketing addon and mobile apps use the JSON API addon (installs via the plugin page).

ok, I have done that and I still can’t see my events loading in the iphone app. I followed all of the instructions here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ticketing-add-on and I also granted public api access. What else do I need to do in order to get the events to load in the app?

thanks

What version of the Event Espresso mobile app do you have installed?

I just downloaded 2.1 yesterday and I am starting with a new install of WP 4.0 and EE3.

Hi,

Are there any error messages when you login to the mobile apps?

Or are you able to login but no events are appearing?

I am able to log in but when I go to view my events it just says loading and nothing ever loads.

So I got it to work by downloading the “other” app you have available on the app store. The Event Espresso HD app.

What is the difference? Why the two different apps?

The old app works with the old API. The new apps use the new API. We didn’t take the old app down because there are still some folks out there using the older iOS hardware. There is more information here:
