Set up Team deliniations for Sporting events?

I’ve been playing with the test drive server and I’m not sure if I can set this up properly. What I’m trying to do is set up a multi team selection for event registration. Say their are three teams; red, blue, and green; and if you and your friends signed up for the red team can that list be separated from the lists of who is on the blue or green teams?

I experimented with a drop down menu with the three options, but it was only delineated in the exported files, which are kind of a mess. Maybe if the exported information could be edited that might work?

What I want to see, basically, is a separate list for each team on the attendees page. If that is at all possible. My group runs airsoft games and one the best way we control game balance is to monitor team size. Some times we have four teams per game, each with a different number of maximum players.

Our old site (wp 2.x, it was hacked needles to say) had a plug in that could do that, but is no longer supported.

In order to achieve the max limits per team, and the separate lists, I’d suggest setting up an event for each team.
