Hello
I have 10 classes and want to send the same message using a custom template to all 10 event registrants – is there an easy way to do this please? I had to do it event by event – it worked but it was time consuming
thanks

Hello,

You would need to browse to the registrants page for each event and repeat the process by going to Event Espresso –> Events and then hovering over the name of the event and clicking on Registrations.

You could then bulk select the registrants (rather than select invidually) and scroll down and click on the Send Batch Email button. Then select the message and send.

That is the fastest way since you are needing to send to registrants of different classes.

so even if i have 1 event with 40 people registered and the page shows 10 people per page that means I have to send the same email 4 times right and there is no way to select all registered for that event? if not is this a planned feature please?
thanks

Hi there,

You can change the amount of registrations shown per page.

In the top right of the registrations page you will find a ‘Screen options’ tab – http://take.ms/Q82g9

There you can set the amount of registrations shown per page.

That will allow you to select all of the registrations within a single event and send a single batch…. however there are a couple of issues with batch emails.

Large volumes of registrations may cause the server to timeout before sending is complete. You would have no way to know which messages sent and which did not, your number of registrations should be ok and not cause a timeout but it depends on the server.

Also your host may imply restriction on the amount of email you can send per min, hour and/or day to try and prevent spam (for example if your site was ever hacked and used to send spam it would normally hit the limit). So sending batches of 40 emails in a single process may well trigger those limits.

Event Espresso has no control over either of those situation which means we need to be conservative on the amount of emails we send by default. If you wish to send more you can but you may need to consult your host if you start running into problems.
