Send edit event registration link via Batch message

Hi

We have had to include a few more additional questions after going live with an event.

We want to send a message to previously registered attendees asking them to update their registrations and fill out the additional questions.

Is there a way to include the edit registration link in a batch email, alternatively, is there any other way to send an email to all registered attendees along with edit links and a message?

Hi there,

You can’t include ‘registration’ based links within the batch message type as it uses the contacts rather than registrations (the quickest way to explain that is the batch message type receives a list of names/people to work with rather than a list of registrations) so it can’t generate links for specific registrations.

However, what you can do is trigger the registration message again.

So for example, if your registrations are all Approved, you can create a custom Registration Approved message template with details asking the user to update their registration question (as that’s a registration-based message type you can link to the specific registration within it).

Set that custom template onto your event and then trigger the registration Approved message on batches of registrations. EE will use the current message template set when it generates the message.

I can walk through this more in-depth if it will work for you?
