Send 1 email to attendees on two events

I’d like to email everyone attending both, or either, of the two days of my Conference which are set up as separate events but I don’t want to say “sorry if you get this email again because you are registered for both days”. Is that possible?

Many thanks

Hello,

You would need to manually select the registrants through the registrations screen and then click on the Batch email button which appears at the end of the page.

I think that would involve a massive de-duplication exercise! 🙁 I was hoping that EE would do that for me… Oh well…

Actually, Lorenzo, I don’t understand that “manually select the registrants through the registrations screen and then click on the Batch email button which appears at the end of the page.”

Where is that?

Event overview > then what?

Its available when viewing the registrations for a specific event.

Event Espresso –> Events –> Hover over the name of an event and click on Registrations.

I don’t have that…

Event Espresso > Event Overview > View | Edit | Delete | Attendees | Export

If I click Attendees, then select the first two in the left hand column? Then what? I have no email button at the end of the page.

Hi Charlie,

Lorenzo was talking about EE4, the batch process isnt available in EE3 so my apologies about that.

In EE3, you can only email either by emailing all the attendees or one by one (which is obviously not that great).

One option for the future would be to sign users up to a Mailchimp mailing list via the Mailchimp addon. You can separate users into different groups. Only thing I cannot currently clarify is if you email both groups will it send an email twice if the person is in each group.

Thanks for the clarification Dean. I don’t want to upgrade to EE4 at this stage – my conference is in 3 weeks. I’ll just email all and hope for the best.

You’re welcome, sorry I couldn’t give you a better workaround/resolution.
