Hello,

I would like to allow a person to select 2 tickets. It is already the case today but I would like to change the current behaviour: today the person who selects the two tickets can’t give a different name and email addresses to each ticket, the name of his friend for example. How can I change this? This would be better to let this person to give the name and email address of his friend for the second ticket.

At the same time I want to keep the setting that force the person who select the ticket to be connected to his account to be able to process the registration. That is whay the settings are currently as followed:

Thank you for your help

Hi there,

EE already allows you to capture additional registrants details.

Within the event editor you need to select at least the ‘Personal Information’ question group within the ‘Questions for Additional Registrant’ – http://take.ms/1CBvc

Click the checkbox next to ‘Personal Information’ question group and update the event.

EE will then request whichever questions you have assigned to that group for additional registrants.

Note that those additional registrations with different details will not show up in the ‘My Events’ section for the main user.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the explanation, it almost aswers our need. I did what you suggested and I noticed that when doing a registration with the name / email address of my friend, he or she didn’t receive confirmation email telling him or her that the registration has been taken into account. I received this email, but not the friend I added as the additional registrant.
Do you know how to set up the generic emails so that they are also sent to the additionnal registrants please?

Also, when you say ” those additional registrations with different details will not show up in the ‘My Events’ section for the main user.” which ‘My Events’ seection are you talking about please?

Thank you very much!

The additional registrants should receive the Registration Approved message by default.

Within Event Espresso -> Messages

Find the registration approved message template there and check if the ‘Recipient’ context is active? (is the ‘Recipient’ link blue or grey)

Also, when you say ” those additional registrations with different details will not show up in the ‘My Events’ section for the main user.” which ‘My Events’ seection are you talking about please?

The ‘My Events’ section is included within the EE4 User Integration Add-on.

Take a look here: https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-wp-user-integration/#espresso-my-events-shortcode

It is output when you use the [ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS] shortcode but is also shown within the users WP Profile in the admin.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your answer. When you mean “recipient”, do you mean registrant or the other one (Titulaire primaire in French)? I have these in Frenh so I don’t really know the one you are talking about. Please tell me which one is the recipient on the attached picture:

Thank you very much

And also, we would like the following option to be always ticked by default when an event is created: Within the event editor: ‘Personal Information’ question group within the ‘Questions for Additional Registrant’ – http://take.ms/1CBvc.
Do you know where we can find the script within EE4 to set up a rule that ticks this option by default please?
Thank you

Thanks for your answer. When you mean “recipient”, do you mean registrant or the other one (Titulaire primaire in French)?

My apologies.

You will have 3 contexts for that message.

Event Admin – Sent only to the event admin.
Primary Registrant (Titulaire primaire) – Sent ONLY to the ‘Primary Registrant’.
Registrant (Inscrit) – Sent to ALL registrants (including the Primary registrant)

Click on the ‘Inscrit’ link and then view the ‘To’ field, what is shown there?

Do you know where we can find the script within EE4 to set up a rule that ticks this option by default please?

Currently that is not available within EE, you would need to select the question group for each event.

Hello,
Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, the field ‘to’ of the ‘Inscrit’ email is well fulfilled with the shortcode [RECIPIENT_EMAIL] but only the Primary registrant receive the email when I try.
Did I miss something?
Thanks for your help

Where might we find an event where we see the registration form? Can you post a URL so we can take a look?

Please find the url of an event where you can test, no problem:
http://viviarto.com/ateliers-stages/paris-placer-sa-voix-formation-professionnelle-la-technique-du-jeu-verbal-martine-amsili-2015-2016/

By the way, please find below the screenshot of the current settings in the email “Inscrit” of “Approved” :

So looking at your event your using a Default Registration Status of ‘Not Approved’.

So the message that is sent when users register on your event is the ‘Not Approved Registration’ message template and that only has an Event Admin and Primary Registrant context. EE considers a the Primary Registrant the user that will ‘handle’ the registration details until the registration is ‘Approved’ so it does not have a ‘Registrant’ contexts for the not approved registrations.

Are you approving the registrations through the admin?

Thanks for your answer. Does this mean that if the default registration status is “Not approved”, we will never be able to sent this message to all the reistrants? This is a problem because :
1. We need to have this intermédiary step of approbation so that the organizer of the event can analyze the registrant profil before approving him
2. We need that all the registrants recevieve the notification.

What do you mean by I approve the registrations “through the admin” please?

Thank you very much for your help

Does this mean that if the default registration status is “Not approved”, we will never be able to sent this message to all the reistrants?

No because EE considers the ‘Primary Registrant’ the user that handles the registrations until it has been ‘Approved’ (meaning the registration has been fully paid or manually set to Approved and now applies to the ‘sold’ value). The ‘Primary Registrant’ is the nly user to receive emails from EE until the registrations have been Approved, in which case all registrants receive a Registration Approved message.

What do you mean by I approve the registrations “through the admin” please?

As in are you changing the status of the ‘Not Approved’ registrations to either ‘Pending Payment’ or ‘Approved’ within the admin – http://take.ms/1SDHy

From the above it appears not.

Can you let us know how you want the registration (and email) to work please? We may be able to provide a solution.
