Hi Everyone
I have an interesting question, I am planning for an congress later this year, expected numbers between 2000-3000. We are using Event espresso which was great when we used it last year. But due to the large numbers this year and the fact we are keen not to have large queues for people scanning in their tickets and getting badges, we are looking for a hardware solution that will scan in and print the badge quickly and easily and be reliable for people not techie. I love the app on the ipad but I dont think this will be quick enough. I am posting this here as im keen to make sure any solution works directly with event espresso as some of the solutions ive found have their own software that it goes into. Any thoughts??

Hi Melanie,
With Event Espresso 4, in the next week or two, we are releasing add-ons for ticketing and bar code scanning.
The bar code scanning add-on and handheld scanners (connected to your desktop or laptop computer) should make scanning tickets at the door a lot faster.
As far as printing tickets en masse, we haven’t quite figured that out yet, but I believe we will be looking into it eventually.
