sales stuck on pending payment even after they have paid

Hi there,

We seem to have an issue of our new sales getting stuck on pending payment on the registration pages even though they are shown as paid in the transaction screen. we fear this may not reflect truly on our numbers of tickets sold and may over sell a ticket.

Anyone got an idea why this is the case?

We are currently stuck at this moment on a older version of PHP so unable to do this as of now.

Hi,

Updating your PHP version and then the plugin is a recommended course of action, as EE4 is in continual development and bug fixes and features are added regularly.

Also the PHP version you are using is nearly 4 years old, most decent hosts have already abandoned it and moved to a minimum of PHP 5.3 and even offer options for higher versions. I would seriously consider discussing this matter with your host and if needed change host (this is not something we recommend lightly but it is an option).

Back to the issue at hand, it sounds like they have purchased via PayPal and the IPN isn’t updating. Have you checked out our guide on Pay Pal IPN’s? Especailly the troubleshooting section https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-set-up-paypal-ipn/
