Hi,

I am trying to do a test purchase of an event called “Flower Power (8-10)” on this page https://www.artnookaiken.com/art-classes/seasonal-camps-classes/spring-break-camp/

And when I add a quantity and hit “add to cart” it is routing me to my wordpress login page.

What is going on!?

Hi, it looks like the cart modal doesn’t appear on that page. Have you recently added any redirect options through a plugin that offers a redirection feature?

Or have you added a plugin to your site that creates a members area?

I have added a redirection feature but I have not redirected these pages and I definitely have not redirected them to my log in page!

Hello,

Have you recently added any new plugins to your site within the past week or so?

Also, what happens if you go to this specific event and then re-save? Does it still try to log you in again upon clicking the add to cart button?

Update: I tried going to the specific event and re-saving. It still routes to the log in. Also I just realized that it is not just this specific event. It is all the events on this page.

I added redirection, popup builder, and the developers at Wisdmlabs added two custom plugins.

Hi Cindra,

Could you go to WordPress plugins screen in your WP dashboard and deactivate all plugins and then reactivate only Event Espresso 4 core plugin?

Then try testing the event page again.

If it works, then reactivate a couple plugins at a time and re-test. Continue this until it breaks again.

I should mention that it happens on this page but not on other pages with different events so that is why I asked if there were any new redirections added.

Did as asked: It seems to be an issue with Event Espresso – MER – Multi Event Registration (EE 4.7.0+)

Hi,

The Multiple Event Registration add-on would be needed as that adds the shopping cart feature.

What is the exact shortcode that is in use on this page that isn’t working correctly?

I know that the multiple event registration add-on would be needed but that is the plugin that triggers to routing to the log in page when activated.

I don’t know what shortcode isn’t working correctly. If I knew that I would be fixing it.

Nevertheless here is the shortcode on this page:
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”spring-break-camp” title=” “]

Hi Cindra,

There may be another plugin that’s set up to redirect when there’s an ajax request (which happens with the Multi Event Registration plugin when you add an event to the cart). Does the route to log in happen if all other plugins besides Event Espresso and Multi Event Registration are deactivated?

Pretty much. I have to keep certain plugins activated to be able to even get to that page like zedity and my custom plugin. But yes, other than those.

I don’t understand how this one page is the only one effected though. None of my other events that use the cart are having an issue. Please help! I am getting frustrated!

Can you elaborate a bit about the redirection feature that you added? For example, if there’s any redirections set up for /wp-admin/ it will affect the cart functionality because the cart relies on an AJAX response from wp-admin.

Hi Cindra,

Another possibility why the button is broken is there is some invalid html on the page. Can you go to edit the page, switch to the Text editor, and remove the html that appears before the ESPRESSO_EVENTS shortcode?

That worked! Thank you!!!
