Hey there.. I have a theme with a responsive layout, I’m trying to make the style of My Events shortcode respond to the responsive theme.. Is there a way to do this?

Also, is I have a weird formatting issue when using the search.. When typing into it, I receive a never ending pull down which is a just white screen.. Please see here:

Hi Luis,

I am looking at your site now. I don’t see what you are referring to with the search. What browser are you using?
Also, the My Events shortcode should be responsive. What page is that shortcode on on your site?

Hey there Jonathan .. If you try to type into the search field a long vertical white window opens up.. and if you scroll way down the page you will see search results.. this is before you hit enter in the field.. Search Groove Temple and don’t hit enter and you should see what I see.. I checked on Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Also My Events shortcode is located at https://www.groovetemple.tv/my-events, but you need to be logged in to the see that page.

Hey Luis —

I haven’t seen that with your search before. Have you tried switching to a different theme and seeing if it does it there?

Re: My events table display — without being able to see that page, we can’t really help all that much, but again, I’m guessing your theme has some default styles for tables with hard-coded widths that may be the issue. You’ll need to take a look at that or add some media queries for different viewports to add responsiveness.

Hi Chris, our theme is responsive, so not sure if what you are suggesting is accurate, but I will look into it.

This is what I get on all the browsers…

Hi Luis,

Debugging that is difficult, but basically for some reason the first list element is being given a height of 3401px which is why it is so long. I would do as Chris suggested and change theme temporarily to see if the issue is with the themes css clashing somewhere and then you have a starting point to debug it.

Hello Luis,

Have you had any luck with this issue? I am curious as to what you found.

Hey Jonathan, no luck. I have spoken to the developers of the theme and they can’t find the issue that would cause this, it’s a annoying bug for us. I did switch to a different theme and found it worked. So not sure what the issue is.. It’s not another plugin because I tried disabling plugs with no change.

Well if switching themes resolved the issue, there is definitely a conflict in the theme somewhere, especially as we have only encountered this on your site.

I have spent some time examining the CSS but I am at a loss as to what is causing it.
