Resetting Message Templates

I want to reset just ONE of my message templates, Registration Approved Template (Primary Registrant Recipient). It’s not clear to me if I click on the “Reset Templates” button if that will just reset that ONE particular email template or ALL of my templates. It’s critical that I edit just this one.

Please advise, as I don’t want to risk losing everything I’ve already done to create suitable email auto-responses.

Hi John,

The reset templates is badly worded, it should be singular not plural. Clicking the button will reset just that template. If in doubt back up first.

Hi, Dean. I clicked on “Reset Templates” and got this warning:

Are you sure you want to reset the email registration approved message templates? Remember continuing will reset the templates for all contexts in this messenger and message type group.

It’s the “message type group” that now concerns me. So it sure looks like it will reset all three versions of the Registration Approved Template: Event Admin, Primary Registrant and Registrant. I only want to reset the Primary Registrant one.

Perhaps it would be safer if you simply gave me the original “text” for the Main Content, Event List, Attendee List, Ticket List, Datetime List and Question List. And then I can copy and paste them into the appropriate fields. Would that bring me back to the original template?

Yes, the reset templates feature resets all contexts for that message type.

Here is the Reg Approved -> Primary Registrant context default content.

Copy all of the content for each section between <-- SECTION --> and <-- END SECTION -->
