Resending Payment Received Email in Event Espresso 4

Hi,

I’ve searched and searched, but cannot figure out how to resend the Payment Received email to the client in Event Espresso 4. Help?

Hi Paul,

The quickest way to get to this is to look at the transactions list in Event Espresso>Transactions, then you look under the “Actions” column, and click the magnifying glass to view the specific transaction. Then click “Apply Payment”. Since they have already paid, you’ll leave the payment amount field blank. You can optionally click the “Send Related Messages” box if you want to also resend the registration confirmations (the payment received email will send either way), then click “Apply Payment”.

That is a horribly sloppy way to perform that function and it adds another zero dollar transaction to the history. Not a very professional look to things (IMHO).

I would strongly encourage a simple icon next to the magnify class that just emails the client the Payment Received email again.

Thanks for the feedback Paul. I’m sorry that it’s so horribly sloppy, nobody meant any harm and we’ll try harder to make it better.

Josh,

I think you took my comment too personally.

All I meant is that it worked great in Version 3 and to get a Payment Received email resent in version 4 is a kludge and not in a good way.

I know it will get better, but as a software developer in a former life, I know the only way that things get fixed is if some one complains about it.
