When trying to set up this class course which is 5 weeks long. Has One cost for all 5 weeks and is held on Tuesday evenings. It is not showing up in my events. It disappears or something.

Hi Sara,
You can create 5 separate events (or however many Tuesdays are in the series).
The first one should be a normal event.
For the 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 5th, and so on, set the Alternate Registration URL to the URL of the first event.
The events will each display as separate events on the calendar but they will all link to the first event (where you would register).
