Hey Guys,

My support license is expired for EE3 and I’m curious to know what is the cost to renew based upon the add-ons and features I currently posses.

I’d also like to know if there is a front end event add-on feature for EE3.

Thanks!

Hi Vince,

Since we don’t give discount on expired licenses, the cost to renew an expired license is the original cost. Therefore, the price for your EE3 Business license that you had is $249.95.

We do have a Front-End Manager add-on for EE3. However, the add-on is in Pre-Release (beta) and not recommended for production environments.

I am happy to answer anymore questions you might have.

Thanks for your response Jonathan! My new dilemma is: I currently own EE3 with several adds that are not available in EE4.

I’m interested in renewing my licences but feel its a bit unreasonable to update EE3 ($249.95) when EE4 is available to update for $69.95 but does not contain all the add on’s I own in EE3.

Further, since I’m the original owner of EE3 with no domain changes, why are you forcing me to pay full price with no discounts or consideration to renew my license?

There has not be a better understanding or compromise. Can you explain?

Hi Vince,

We are changing our model from bundled to an a la carte model where you just purchase the add-ons that you need for your project.

If you purchase an Event Espresso 3 support license then you’ll get equivalent add-ons for Event Espresso 4 automatically. We do this to provide an upgrade path to Event Espresso 4.

If you are only using a couple add-ons for Event Espresso 3, then I would pick up a personal support license for Event Espresso 3 and then those add-ons alone. Then once an equivalent add-on becomes available in the future, then you’ll see that on your account automatically.

For example, we are planning a recurring events manager add-on so if that was on your account for Event Espresso 3, then you would receive that for Event Espresso 4 automatically.

If you would like us to review your prior support license and purchases with you privately, then just follow up with us here:

Lorenzo, thanks for your response. I have the EE3 Business package with Ticketing add ons. I really don’t see the equivalent of the EE3 packages in EE4 but if they’re available I’ll upgrade to EE4.

Is it possible to review my package. Or maybe I’m just confused about your new offerings.
