Remove sidebar on single event page

I have searched the forums and tried every mentioned solution, but nothing has worked.

I want to completely remove the sidebar from the single event page. The theme we are using does have the option to turn off the sidebar, and it is turned off everywhere. It doesn’t show on pages, posts, archives, even the event espresso list page, etc. However, it still is showing on single event pages. I can’t figure out why.

This is the link to a single event page:
http://passyourpoliceexam.com/events/phoenix-area-police-written-exams/

For reference, here is a single post:
http://passyourpoliceexam.com/test/

Here is a single page:
http://passyourpoliceexam.com/about-us/

They are all using the default theme page template. Why is only the single event page in Event Espresso showing a sidebar?

Thank you!

The sidebar also shows on the registration/checkout pages.

Hi Danielle,

There’s a page template selector in the event editor for events, as well as in the page editor for the registration checkout page. Can you select a Full Width page template in either of those selectors?

Yes, I have done that already. It still shows the sidebar. They are set to use the same full-width page template as all the other pages/posts on the site, and all those others are displaying correctly.

Hi Danielle,

Its your theme that controls the output of the sidebar rather than EE, so its looks like the theme may be ignoring the template setting for EE posts.

If you install a plugin such as What the file and reload the event page you’ll see a new menu within the admin bar that shows all of the templates used to display the current page/post.

If you take a look within that is the theme using the full page template or a single page template with a call to the sidebar?
