For a couple of weeks now there’s been an alert at the top of WP dashboard pages “QuickBooks Payments app connection will expire soon . Please visit Event Espresso Payment Methods settings page and “Reconnect” .” I did test QuickBooks Payments but decided not to continue using it. How do I get rid of this warning?

Hi there,

On the bottom right of the notice should be a dismiss button, the notice will remain until that dismiss button is clicked and it will be removed.

Right, there usually is a “dismiss” or at least an “x” but for whatever reason, nothing for this alert.

Oh, my apologies, I double check and they are not persistent notices its based on when you last connected to the QuickBooks to re-authorize.

Is the quickbooks payment method de-activate in the Event Espresso -> Payment methods menu?

If you are not using the Quickbooks payment method you’ll need to de-activate the quick books payment method add-on to remove that notice.

Within Dashboard -> Plugins, you’ll find the ‘Event Espresso – QuickBooks Payments Gateway’ plugin, de-activate it (and delete if you wish), that will remove the notice from the admin.

Ah I didn’t think to deactivate the plugin itself. I was trying to kill it in the payment methods settings. Fixed, thanks.

You’re most welcome, David.

Just to note for future readers, I’ve created a ticket to only display the notice if the payment method is actually active on the site however payment methods are a little different. Some users may use a specific payment method for specific events across the year, activating it when needed etc so the notice was intended as a reminder to make sure the QB connection is setup and may stay as is.
