I am receiving an email message from my payment gateway support after
someone signs-up and pays that reads:

“A problem occurred while connecting to the Relay Response URL for
Payment Page ID WSP-DE-LA-************w.

https://www.**********.com/?type=**********_e4&page_id=2272 [1]

The receipt for the transaction for which the Relay Response was
being sent is:
=========== TRANSACTION RECORD ==========

etc…..

How do I correct this problem?
Thnaks!

Hi M,

You’ll need to make sure you have a relay response URL that matches what Event Espresso sends. In this case, please pay special attention to the https:// part of the URL. If https:// is sent to authnet as a URL, but the account settings are http://, Authnet will not accept the URL. You can add more relay response URLs by logging into your Authnet account to cover both URL schemes.

I did purchase a SSL certificate after I purchased EE and made the changes in both locations. They now match. So you are telling me that all I have to do is go in to my payment gateway and add the http yadda yadda back?

Hi Melissa,

Did you add those changes after getting the SSL certificate setup?

If not, could you go ahead and login to your merchant account area and add those?

Thanks.

Hi,
I did make the change from http to https after I had purchased the SSL certificate. I changed it in the payment settings of EE and in the noted spot in my payment gateway. That is when I started to receive the email noted above.

Hi there,

I checked your site and I can see that something is redirecting your Thank You page to http:

You’ll see what I mean if you compare going to your home page as https (it works) but if you go to

https://yoursite.com/thank-you

You’ll see that it redirects back to http://yoursite.com/thank-you

A few things that will help:

Find out what’s causing the redirect. If you have the WordPress https plugin installed, you can set the thank you page to “Secure post” using the https plugin. There’s more info in this guide:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-sslhttps/

You can also add http:yoursite.com/thank-you as an additional relay response URL.
